Dageraad was a speculative lifestyle I designed for the Futures & Presence Minor at the Willem de Kooning Academy. The lifestyle involved private gardens paired with family houses where people could grow their own food. These plots of land would be surrounded by forests, giving the people a biophilic experience. I translated the concept into three posters paired with poems and 9 postal stamps celebrating the biophilic experience.
This project gave me a lot of insight during the currently unseen research and conceptual phases. It taught me how to develop speculative projects, and even though the end results weren’t exactly how I imagined them to be, it gave an experience to prepare for the next project.
